FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: How often do I need to sealcoat my driveway?
A: It all depends on the condition of your driveway. Driveways that are in rough shape will need to be sealed once and then again two years later. After that, the driveway should be back to looking great and be sealed every 2- years. The typical driveway should be sealed once then again every 2-4 years depending on the location and coverage. New asphalt should be sealed within 1-2 years after installation.
Q: How to you clean the driveway?
A: We use steel wire brushes and high power blowers to remove all dirt, dust, and debris from the driveway. The key to a long lasting sealcoated driveway is preparation. We take that next step to ensure the sealer bonds to the asphalt driveway properly.
Q: Do you treat oil spots?
A: Yes. We prep the oil with a special formulation primer. This stops the oil from bleeding through your newly sealcoated driveway.
Q: How soon after the driveway is sealed am I able to drive on it?
A: You will be able to walk on the driveway once the sealer is dry. This takes 2-3 hours. However, we recommend not driving on the driveway for 48 hours after it is sealed.
Q: What time will you be here?
A: We do multiple driveways in a day and there is a chance that we have to re-route and change the order of our jobs. This is why it is very hard to give an exact time. However, if you have a special need or request we will do our best to accommodate you.
Q: Do you offer any extended warranty options?
A: Yes. The purpose of our extended warranty option is to keep your driveway looking great. Once you seal your driveway you can choose for us to come back the next year to crack fill, clean, and edge the driveway.
Q: Will sealcoat affect my grass?
A: No, the sealer will not harm your lawn. The sealer does not have any chemicals that will affect the growth of your grass. It will first temporarily discolor (black) your lawn for the first 1-2 mowings.
Q: Why have tire marks appeared in my driveway?
A: Tire marks are common in the first 3 weeks after sealcoating. It takes the sealer 30 days to cure. They will go away but try to not turn tire wheels while the car is still.
